Pathway was set up to improve healthcare services for homeless people, helping them get back on their feet and back into society. We have been working with seven volunteers who have experienced the burden of homelessness, to tell the stories of how they became homeless and how they got back on their feet. As well as telling their stories through portraiture and written and spoken word, we also worked with a very different medium: Their clothes. Our seven volunteers were paired with fashion designers from leading labels – Vivienne Westwood, Illustrated People, Atelier bâba, Sia Dimitriaditi and graduates from the London College of Fashion – to upcycle clothes they wore while living on the streets, telling their unique stories through the clothes’ redesign.
